All therapy staff are trained Occupational Therapists registered with the New Zealand Board of Occupational Therapists. 


All of our staff have had both COVID-19 vaccination doses to help protect our tamariki.

About Sabine Mawdsley:
Practice Manager
Sabine manages the practice whilst also being able to offer support during therapy sessions as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. 

Sabine is a qualified nurse and midwife, is trained in ante-natal and post-natal instruction although is not currently practicing. Sabine has completed various courses and workshops on child development, Sensory Integration, social skills, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and supporting learning disabilities. 

Sabine also offers breastfeeding support to new mothers. This occurs at our clinic, in the family home (depending on location) or at Sabine's home on the North Shore


ABOUT CAITLIN de JAGER

Occupational Therapist

​​Caitlin de Jager completed her Bachelor of Science honours in Occupational Therapy at the University of Witwatersrand after which she completed community service for the South African government. She carried out her research thesis in the field of cerebral palsy, time use, and the burden of care for family members and other caregivers. Caitlin has worked internationally both in the private and public sectors and has gained a global understanding of providing holistic Occupational Therapy services. Caitlin has a particular interest in providing care for all areas of a child’s life to promote health and wellbeing across the board. She is passionate about sensory processing needs, reflex integration and mental health and well-being of children as well as their caregivers. Caitlin believes in equipping parents, teachers, and caregivers with the necessary skills to aid a child’s participation in meaningful activities across all areas of life. She is a friendly, fun-loving, and approachable Occupational Therapist who aims to support caregivers as much as she supports their children in the therapeutic journey. 


ABOUT VIVIAN BARRETT

Occupational Therapist​

​Vivian Barrett, has completed her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy at Cebu Doctors’ University, Philippines. She has completed her specialisation in Neuro Developmental Training (NDT) and became certified in the United States since 2005. She has attended multiple trainings in Handwriting Without Tears, Sensory Regulation, Primitive Reflex Integration, Neurological conditions, and Orthopaedics. She is a Board Certified in the US and an active member of NDT Organization. Vivian has worked primarily in the US in both pediatrics and adult population. She believes in a team approach in including the family/carers and in equipping them with the tools that are needed for the client to be successful. She believes in a client centered approach that no two people or child are the same and that their goals will be taken as the number one priority. 


About Lindsay Ross (nee Mawdsley):

Occupational Therapist 

Lindsay Ross (nee Mawdsley) completed her Bachelor of Health Science majoring in Occupational Therapy through AUT and her Postgraduate Certificate in Occupational Therapy through Otago Polytechnic. Lindsay has worked internationally in both the public and private sectors. She has successfully established services in New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates. Her experience ranges from mild needs through to complex medical conditions. Lindsay believes that intervention should be holistic and involve the child’s family, school and wider community.
Lindsay has particular interest in sensory processing needs, parent coaching, early intervention, complex medical needs, rare diseases and disorders and cortical visual impairment/cerebral visual impairment. (On maternity leave).


Training and Qualifications:

Our therapists are qualified Occupational Therapists. Registered with the New Zealand Board of Occupational Therapists. Therapists partake in regular professional development and supervision.
